Thanks to everyone who helps, doing jobs big and small, everyones efforts add up to make our village a great place to live. A massive Thank You to you all. We also won RHS community award for sustainable gardening. From the 250 groups currently registered within the network these 14 groups were nominated by the charity’s volunteer judges and assessors and received a subsequent level of achievement at the Scottish level, of 5 different UK-wide community award categories. The winner of each award was put forward to the RHS Britain in Bloom UK-wide selection panel, and we were awarded an outstanding award for sustainable gardening.

Christmas Lights
Forth switched on its Christmas lights for the 22nd time on Sunday 17th November 2024 at 4.30pm. There was a large crowd in attendance to help Forth get into the Christmas spirit, Agnes Gallacher who has given much to the village over the years had the honour of switching the lights on this year and many of her friends and family were there to enjoy it with her.  Forth & District Initiative would like to thank Agnes, and also our friends at lightways and South Lanarkshire Council, for switching on the lights, and everyone who joined us for the switch on and those who helped make the day a success.
We have purchased ten lights in 2022 and they are now decorating the Main Street, the money to purchase these lights was generously donated by Cloburn Quarry.

The Initiative group also gifted Christmas wreaths to the Church and the Resource Centre to help get the village into the festive spirit.
